Collab with Cervezas Yria and Cervecera Península

Today, we had the utmost pleasure of collaborating with Cervezas Yria and Cervecera Península at their brewery in Alcobendas, just outside Madrid. We joined forces on a rainy Spanish day to brew a beer in a style that is new to both our breweries.

Into the tank went a kveik. The word itself, kveik, is somewhat familiar to us due to its Norwegian origin. The word is a dialect word for yeast and refers to yeast that has been reused for generations in the proud farmhouse brewing traditions of Norway.

Collaborating with Cervezas Yria and Cervecera Península has to be one of the best collaboration experiences that we have ever had. We were received with open, loving arms by Román and Gabi, the head brewer and his wife. Cerveceria Península is a family-run operation like Alefarm Brewing and we shared many stories about similar ways to approach and solve problems like a family.

We are excited to present you with a highly-drinkable, fruity kveik once the beer is ready. For now, it's fermenting safely at 30 degrees Celsius. Exciting!

All the best,

Kasper Tidemann
